This months exhibition includes a local group of artists lead by

J Harlow, Diane Malcomson, Lauen Ward and
Carmen Mills. Their work ranges from collage,

Photography exhibition by Jennifer Duncan: October 20th - November 19th 2011

Jennifer Duncan is a keen amateur wildlife and nature photographer based in York, but originally from Newburgh, a small village on the North East coast of Scotland. From there her interest in photography was strongly influenced by the beautiful surroundings of the Ythan Estuary, which is also an amazing haven for wildlife.  

Jennifer squeezes her interest in photography into her spare time and tries to tie it in with her general love of the great outdoors, climbing and mountaineering.

Last year one of her photographs was selected in the final of the Countryfile photographic competition and can now be seen on the front cover of the Countryfile 2011 Calendar.  The photograph was of a line of puffins, taken on the Farne Islands, which the BBC aptly named “Huffing Puffin”.

Pembrokeshire Landscapes, Amy Rose Clyfan July 25th - August 25th 2011

 

This work displays an emphasis on the striking colours 

and form found naturally within the Pembrokeshire 

environment. Amy has experimented with a range of 

materials and techniques to produce an interesting

This month features work by Thomas Rimmington a local portrait artist. The work is from an art project whereby Tom has taken a group of people in the Walmgate area of York and combined a portrait with a description of their lives including stories of the history of the area.
